There is a whole lot of truth in that Rick. I was a Les Paul guy for over 20 years before getting my first T-60.

Thanks for all the comments. The pick guard showed up today from Cagliari, Italy. I immediately took it over to Ron so we could open it together. (I felt like a kid at Christmas). It looks great! I'll get some pics later today. I also decided to replace the knobs with wooden knobs, knurled Ebony with a Koa wood center. We are thinking about carrying the pick guard design up to the head stock only in reverse. Maple on Ebony or maybe white Ebony on Ebony. I traced out the head stock and will draw some designs tonight. We were trying to decide what fret marking to put in. We went everywhere from red coral flames to Paduak dots. Whatever we do, it will be no more than 3/16" so as not to take away from the beauty of the fretboard. We finally layed out some abalone dots with a pink to purple to turquoise shimmer. It has a nice but understated contrast. Could be a winner.

Those knobs sure are pretty. I absolutely love koa wood. I would imagine several here (myself included) that would be very interested in buying the P-knobs should you desire to sell them.

The Koa and Ebony is a great combo! Where did you pick them up?

I found the craftsman on Etsy. His shop is called ArchipelagoGlass. I will have knobs, tuners, a neck, and a pickguard and a case available shortly. https://www.etsy.com/shop/ArchipelagoGl ... _faveshops

Ron has been putting (place name here)’s electronics back in. We are waiting for an order of black oval head screws to attach the pickguard. Still waiting for the ss frets. I have been fooling around with a headstock design and came up with a couple. What do you think?

Here is the 3x3 pic from one of the T60 prototypes that Chip built for the NAMM show. As I remember, there were 2 T60's, one with the 3x3 and the other with 6 in line. There was also a T40.

The body. I think either gold or black pickup covers and bridge would look sharp but don’t know if there is a bridge that would work.
